Bruce Ingram is head of M Science’s international operations, and is based in Hong Kong. In this capacity, he is developing a new client base in the Asian and European regions. This includes engaging with investors, senior project managers, and CIOs to highlight what alternative data can bring to them and their teams, as well as hiring for and expanding the firm’s international business. Prior to joining M Science in February of 2020, Bruce was a managing director for Jefferies, where he was responsible for developing sustainable regional equities sales teams across Asia, onboarding new clients for the firm, conducting regular performance reviews and client coverage reviews, leading compensation decisions and communications, allocating client accounts, and hiring.
He began his career Baring Securities and was based in their London office from 1995 – 2001. He then spent five years at Credit Suisse helping to build out an equity presence for their Asian business in Continental Europe that commanded a top three market share for that period. In 2006, he joined Nomura where he was responsible for rebuilding the Asia Ex-Japan franchise in Europe. Under Bruce’s supervision, along with the rest of the leadership team, Nomura’s ranking in Asian research moved from 14th to 2nd.
In 2011 Bruce joined Jefferies’ Asian Equity team in London where he established both a sales and equity sales team. In 2013, he was invited to lead Asian equity sales for Jefferies in Hong Kong. Jefferies was then one of only several new entrants into the equity space, and remains one of the few survivors today. Under his leadership, Jefferies is now one of the most established equity houses in the Asia Pacific.
Bruce graduated from Exeter University in 1994 with a degree in Economics and Politics.
